Prayer

Prayer is not meditation or passive reflection; it is direct address to God. It is the communication of the human soul with the Lord who created the soul. Prayer is the primary way for the believer in Jesus Christ to communicate his emotions and desires with God and to fellowship with God.

Paul wrote, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6–7). Worry about nothing; pray about everything.
Prayer is the practice of being in the presence of God. It is the place where pride is abandoned, hope is lifted, and supplication is made. Prayer is the place of admitting our need, of adopting humility, and claiming dependence upon God. Prayer is the needful practice of the Christian. Prayer is the exercise of faith and hope. Prayer is the privilege of touching the heart of the Father through the Son of God, Jesus our Lord.
Merriam Webster defines prayer as an earnest request or wish, an address or petition, to God.
God, cloth us in your light and love. Thank you Father for everything you have done for us and everything you will do in the future. Give us the courage to wake tomorrow and face the days challenges, whatever they may be. Protect us Father from tragedy. Carry us Father through this wonderful life with all it's ups and downs. Carry us all the way into your loving arms. In Jesus name, Amen.
