Promise 1 - Answered Prayer

Many Christians could attest to the fact that having your prayers answered is not something that happens overnight. It’s a process of praying according to God’s will and persevere until we get results. As a consequence, many people become discouraged and they stop praying and give up.

IT IS WRITTEN that God our Father who sits on the most-high throne will listen to our cries and answer according to what He thinks is best for us. That’s the key thing that many of us forget: God will do what He finds best, and not what we think should happen. After all, He is God right? Are we as mortal creatures wiser than our immortal Creator? No.

I want to encourage you to never stop praying, hoping and waiting. God will answer in His due time and according to His will.

Lets review 5 well-known scriptures affirming that God does indeed answer prayers.

1) Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. Matthew 7:7

2) Cast your burden on the Lord and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved. Psalm 55:22

3) This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him. 1 John 5:14-15

4) If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you. John 15:7

5) Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective. James 5:16

Promise 2 - Healing

Since the fall of humans, all kinds of illnesses and diseases have been affecting our survival and welfare. It is our belief that God gave us medical science to help resolve many of these issues. But still, many people are suffering under the yoke of sickness. The nature of our existence we will expierence suffering in one form or the other in out lives.

But, don’t lose hope, because God said in His Word that He is more than able to heal our diseases and restore our bodies.

There are numerous examples of healing miracles in the Bible. Yet, many Christians today doubt about the wondrous, miraculous power of God. If God could have done it for them in the past, what makes us think that He can’t do it for us today? He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Hebrews 13:8

Here are 5 Bible verses reminding us of the healing promises of God:

1) He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. You were healed by his wounds. 1 Peter 2:24

2) Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them; and I will reveal to them abundance of peace and truth. Jeremiah 33:6

3) But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

4) Praise the Lord, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies. | Psalm 103:2-4

5) If you will diligently listen to the voice of the Lord your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you that I put on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, your healer. Exodus 15:26
